Who We Are

This website is StackCapybara (stackcapybara.com), a site focused on AI and SaaS stack guides, workflow tests, tool reviews, comparisons, and public tools. For questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

What This Site Does

StackCapybara publishes editorial content including AI tool guides, SaaS stack comparisons, workflow tests, and reviews. Some content may include affiliate links and sponsored or tracked outbound links. The site may also offer public tools.

Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with this site, we may collect or receive:

  • Server logs: IP addresses, browser/device type, pages visited, timestamps — collected automatically by the web server.
  • Cookies: Small files stored in your browser. Used for site functionality, analytics (only if you accept the analytics cookie), and security.
  • Analytics data: If analytics tools are active, aggregate usage data (pages visited, session duration, referrer) may be collected. Before you accept, and if you decline, Google Analytics receives only a cookieless measurement request (see Cookies and Analytics below).
  • Contact/email submissions: If you contact us by email or through a form, we receive the content you send.
  • Affiliate click data: Outbound affiliate and tracked links may record that a click occurred, the referring page, and your approximate location.
  • Security and anti-spam logs: Basic logs used to protect the site from abuse.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as financial details, health information, or government identifiers.

Cookies and Analytics

This site may use cookies for basic functionality (such as login sessions or security tokens) and, if analytics are enabled, to track aggregate usage patterns. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some site features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited), loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how people use the site: pages viewed, device type, country and referring site. Before you decide, and if you press Decline, the page sends Google a cookieless measurement request: no cookie is set and no identifier is stored on your device. Like any request to a web server, Google receives the page address, device details and IP address. If you press Accept on the analytics banner, Google Analytics may also set its analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_ZC3F79QT7H) to recognise a returning browser. Accepting allows analytics storage only – not advertising storage, advertising data sharing or ad personalisation. We keep your choice in your browser (local storage key sc_analytics_consent_v1) so we do not ask again, and you can change it at any time: change your analytics choice.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links and sponsored outbound links may use tracking parameters or redirect URLs. Third-party affiliate networks have their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Where required, affiliate relationships are disclosed on relevant pages.

Contact Emails or Submissions

If you email us at [email protected] or submit a contact form, we receive the information you provide. We use it only to respond to your message. We do not sell or share contact details with third parties for marketing purposes.

Security Logs

The site may log failed login attempts, suspicious requests, and other security events to protect against abuse. These logs may include IP addresses and timestamps. They are retained for a limited period for security purposes only.

Embedded and Third-Party Content

Pages on this site may include embedded content from third-party services (such as YouTube videos, social media widgets, or external tools). Embedded content from other sites behaves as if you visited those sites directly. Those services may collect data about you according to their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

How Long Information May Be Kept

Server logs and security logs are typically retained for a limited period (often 30–90 days) before being purged. Contact submissions are kept as long as reasonably needed to handle the communication. Analytics data retention depends on the analytics provider’s settings. We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected.

Your Choices

You can:

  • Block or clear cookies via your browser settings.
  • Use browser extensions or privacy tools to limit tracking.
  • Email us at [email protected] to ask about personal data we may hold from a direct interaction with us.

Note: we have limited ability to act on requests regarding data held by third-party services (analytics providers, affiliate networks, embedded content providers) — you should contact those services directly.
